She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis McKenzie and Laura McKenzie; her husband Cyrill Takats; her sisters, Margurite Baugus and Edna Donica; her daughter Patsy Shinn; and her granddaughter Joanna Shinn.
She is survived by: her children, Bruce Takats of Carrollton, Cyrill Takats, Jr. of Dallas, Sandra Schneider (John) of Plano, Tony Takats (Diane) of Highland Village and Laura Goddin of Frisco; and her son-in-law Ricky Shinn of Dallas. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
