Though Maxine Sands may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elry Sands and Lena Holt Sands; and her sisters, Jerene Sands Bradford and LaVerne Sands Johnson. She is survived by: her children, Stephen Sands (Cindy) of Gatesville, Texas and Shahrzad Bacon (John) of Frisco, Texas; her grandchildren, Scott Sands (Lisa), Liam Bacon and Kaysar Bacon; her great grandchild Lena Sands; her sister Lorene Jenkins (Charles Burt); and her nieces, Lisa Jenkins and Elizabeth Jenkins Smith.
A graveside service was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Elm Grove Cemetery.
