He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Barton and Nada Barton; his siblings, Scott, Bill, Ron and Ranae; and his daughter Teri.

He is survived by: his wife Fran; and his children, Liz, Joseph, Rob, Dan and Katie. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
