He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Minor, Sr. and Ida Blanche Minor (Raimey); his siblings, Gary, Diane and Sharon; and his daughter Shanna Marie Harrup.

He is survived by: his wife Cristina P. Reodica of Frisco; his children, Dianna Sanders of Kansas City, Angela Johnson of Kansas City, Cynthia Gaffney of Kansas City and John Minor (Amy) of Kimberling City, MO; his adoptive daughter Tricia Mendez (Paul) of Keller, TX.; and his siblings, Steven Minor, Jimmy Lee Minor, Hugh David Minor and Michelle Renee Minor of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.

Donations in his name can be made to Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Frisco.
