He was predeceased by: his parents, Hajar Balou (Moghades) and Abolhassan Balou; and his sisters, Raana, Sakineh and Sara Balou.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Balou (Hammer); his children, Shireen Harrison (Leon), Omeed Balou (Brittany) and Raana Balou (Soheil Poorheidr); his grandchildren, Lilly Balou and Atreyu Balou; and his siblings, Hassan Balou, Mohammad Balou, Ahmed Balou, Faranez Tajari, Monavar Zakaryaee and Azita Balou. He is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.
