He is survived by: his wife Betty Gail Mears of Frisco, Texas; his brother Kenneth Mears (Martha) of Houston, Texas; his children, Angela Sanders of Austin, Texas, Lane Mears (Anna) of Harare, Zimbabwe and Cara Mears (Robert Mitchell) of San Diego, California; his niece Peri Patel (Anuj) of Houston, Texas; his grandchildren, Lance Gallaher (Margo) of Austin, Texas, Brittany Nicole Peck (Eli) of Artesia, Caleb, Abigail, Luke, Joshua Mears of Harare, Zimbabwe, Courtlyn and Cason Mitchell of San Diego, California; and his great grandchildren, Gavyn, Maci, Adylynn and Kynlee Peck.
