He was predeceased by: his parents, Otha Self and Veta Self (Goodwin); and his sister Dolores Ivy. He is survived by: his children, Gayla Brown (David) of Bootleg, Gary Self (Faith) of Childress and Terry Self (Fran) of Perrin, Texas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren; and one great-great grandson.
