It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Max Dewaine Wells of Friona, Texas, born in Hereford, Texas, who passed away on April 26, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Harland Clay and Jewell Lola Johnson Wells; his wife Jo Ann Wells; and his brother Harold Joe Wells. He is survived by: his siblings, Jim Roy Wells (Cherry) of Friona, Rex Wells (Sue) of Friona and Janice Chesher of Hereford; and his sister-in-law Joyce Wells of Friona.
