He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Wilkerson (Ella Mae Evans Wilkerson) and Ela Wilkerson; his children, Sherri Collins and Lonnie Wilkerson; and his siblings, David, Rayford Wilkerson, Dorothy Benson and Dora Geneva Bentley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ella Craddock of Amarillo, Michelle Wilkerson of Lubbock and Liberty Williams (Fredrick) of Amarillo; and his sister Alene Gamble of Friona. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
