He was predeceased by: his parents, H. R. Monroe and Bess Monroe; and his sister Lila Ruth Burmingham. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Monroe of Friona; his children, Alan Monroe (Debbie) of Friona and Renae Barnett (Chris) of Lubbock; his brother Wayne Monroe (Nelda) of Amarillo; his grandchildren, Morgan Lane of Midland, Kelby Monroe (Krystal) of Austin, Jordan Jarecki (J'Lond) of Friona, Macy Williams (Harvey) of Austin and Caleb Monroe of Eugene, OR; and his great grandchildren, Jace Jarecki, Jesalyn Jarecki, Jett Jarecki, Claire Lane, Emma Lane, Remy Williams and Zoe Williams. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to The Parkinson's Foundation.
