He was predeceased by: his parents, Winnie Ansell and Lee Ansell; his brother Terry Ansell; his parents-in-law, Sidney and Melva Lanier; and his brother-in-law Tom Lanier.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Ann Lanier; his children, Steve Ansell, Kate Ansell Decker (Carl), Elizabeth Ansell (Rob Hoot), Charles Ansell and Sarah Ansell (Christina Macal); his grandchildren, Ada, Nora Hoot, James and John Decker; his brothers, Van Ansell (Denise) and Bill Ansell (Libbie); and his sisters-in-law, Julie Ansell Clements, Nancy Lanier Miller (Rick) and Lynne Duncan Lanier. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Rick didn't complain when he was diagnosed with COVID while being so immunocompromised.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Rick's name to Good Shepherd Episcopal Church with "Brotherhood Scholarship fund" in the memo.
