He was predeceased by: his wife Merle Katherine Cole; his parents, Charlie Joe Cole, Sr. and Emma Cornett Pedigo Cole; his son Glenn Morris Cole Jr. (Scooter); and his siblings, George Washington Cole (Juanita), Gene Amos Cole (Mildred), Charlie Joe Cole, Jr. (Fonzeal), Francis Vernon Cole (Carolyn), Mandy Lee Cole Richardson (Don) and Mary Ann Cole Johnson (Billy Bob).
He is survived by: his son Gayland (Bubba); his grandchildren, Aaron Cole (Becky), Chelsea DeLeon (Joey) and Morgan Cole; and his nephews, Gene Cole (Cindy) and Mark Cole (Renee). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
