She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Morein and Elizabeth Tate Morein; her husband Nolan Joseph Fontenot; her daughter Carol Gwendolyn Meaux; her son-in-law Leo P. Olivier, Jr.; her grandson Judd Kenyon Meaux; her great grandchild Elizabeth Vivian Carter (Evie); and her sisters, Vernice Wilson and Emma Naquin.
She is survived by: her daughters, Donna Arabie (Roger Dale) of Nokomis, FL, Elizabeth Olivier of Round Rock, TX and Rebecca Herder of Friendswood, TX; and her siblings, Woodrow Morein (Bertha), Lou Soileau of Ville Platte and Lena Vidrine of Ville Platte. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
Mrs. Fontenot quilted over a hundred quilts, many with intended purpose of heirlooms, some for friends and others for donation to charity events.
