He was predeceased by: his father Clyde Owen; and his grandparents, Ralph, Jo "JoJo" Mitchell, Arlie and Arlee Owen.

He is survived by: his wife Megan; his son Canon (Maddie); his pets, Willie, Waylon and Dolly; his mother Mary Nell Lane (Jimmy); his siblings, Kevin Owen (Cyndi) and Connie Strube (Kenny); his parents-in-law, Margie and Michael Leggio; his brother-in-law Mike Leggio (Julie); his nieces and nephews, Matt Owen (Jenny), Makenzie Catlett (Richie), Morgan Jones (Jacob), Lindsey Rea (Rowdy), Slayton Strube (Brooke), Bella Leggio and Alyssa Leggio (Matthew Cavanaugh); and his cousin Cody. He is also survived by 17 great nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jeter Memorial Funeral Home (311 N Friendswood Dr, Friendswood, TX 77546). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Mary Queen Catholic Church (606 Cedarwood Dr, Friendswood, TX 77546).
