He was predeceased by: his mother Blanche Jackson; his brother Robert; and his stepson Justin Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl M. Montgomery; his children, Carl Montgomery, Jr., Scott Montgomery, Dawn Montgomery and Christopher Montgomery; his stepchildren, Charles Phillips, Diane Richard, Deana Passamante and Kendra Bollenbach; and his sister-in-law Lillian Montgomery. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
