She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry F. Hackerd and Mary E. Brinson Hackerd; her sister Mary E. Marsh (Kenneth Otto Kettler); and her children, Mary Ellen Bruce, James Frederick Kettler and Charles Edward Kettler.
She is survived by: her husband Kenneth Otto Kettler; and her children, Karen Dawson (Eddie), Paul Kettler (Nanette) and Susie Ross (Doug). She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests remembrances be given to the Alvin Museum Society, PO Box 1902, Alvin, TX 77512-1902.
