It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Raymon Martinez of Freer, Texas, born in Sonora, Texas, who passed away on August 11, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Florencio Martinez and Marcelina Martinez; his wife Dora G. Martinez; his son Luis Martinez; and his siblings, Adolfo Lopez and Maria Martinez.
He is survived by: his children, Leo Martinez (Sugy) of Mathis, Texas and Rita Maldonado of Poteet, Texas; his sisters, Gracie Gonzalez (Dale Stringfellow), Modesta Johnson (John) and Rita Vasquez (Alberto); his grandchildren, Cesar Martinez, Serena Alaniz (Benny), Madison Martinez, Enrique Maldonado and Jaime Maldonado; and his great grandchildren, Caleb Martinez, Kacey Alaniz and Joaquin Alaniz. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
