He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmit Lyles and Lois Lyles; his wife Marie Harvill; his daughter Cheryl Lyles Smith; his granddaughter Mariah Linn Smith; his sister Doris Chaddock; and his sister-in-law Barbara Mitchell.
He is survived by: his son Steve Lyles (Judy); his son-in-law Glenn Smith; his grandchildren, Renee McQuillan (late Shaun McQuillan), Sobrina Maguglin (Landry), Travis Lyles and Savannah Smith (late Gilbert N. Saenz); his great grandchildren, Landyn Maguglin, Syndilyn Maguglin, Shae McQuillan, Shaylyn Maguglin, Layne Maguglin and Raegan McQuillan; and his sister-in-law JoNell Huff (Bill). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.
