He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Darnell and Bonnie Darnell; and his brother Windom Jake Sitton. He is survived by: his wife Mary Sue Loveless Darnell; his children, Dean Darnell of Freeport and Linda Darnell Browning of Abilene, Texas; and his nephews, Randy Sitton of Baltimore and Ray Sitton of Nacogdoches, Texas..
