He is survived by: his wife Jeanetta Alston; his daughters, Cynthia Alston, Christina Alston Hurd (Michael), Amber Randon and Shamarria Alston; his siblings, Wallace Skipper, Robert Alston Sr. (Sandra), Babe R. Alston (Theresa), Willie Skipper of Townsend, GA, Elizabeth Williams of Townsend, GA, Delores Sanders (Dennis) of Townsend, GA, Josephine Wilson-Townsend (Benjamin) of Townsend, GA, Eldrew Thompson of Townsend, GA, Jewel Thorpe of Townsend, GA, Angie Reed (Floyd) of Townsend, GA, Johnie Mae Alston of Townsend, GA, Lizzie Skipper of Townsend, GA and Jeanette Anderson (Issac) of Townsend, GA; his siblings-in-law, Joseph Miller of Hillsboro, GA and Donetta Alston; his close friends, Johnny Greer of Freeport and Roy Boniaby of Freeport; and his granddaughters, Miranda Hurd and Madelyn Hurd. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 23rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dixon Funeral Home-Angleton (2025 E Mulberry St, Angleton, TX 77515). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church (1615 Skinner St, Freeport, TX 77541).
