He was predeceased by: his mother Bernadette Clara Lyons McConnell; his daughter Donna Sammons McConnell; his sister Elizabeth Ann McConnell Schrader; and his stepmother Juanita McConnell. He is survived by: his father Cecil Rex McConnell; his wife Joy Lynn McConnell; his children, Barrett McConnell (Sara) and Krista Musquiz (Michael); his stepson Jonah Valdez; his sister Patricia Lynn Peterson; his stepsiblings, Portia Parten and Kyle Choate; his grandchildren, Henley McConnell, Jeremiah Musquiz, Andrew Musquiz and Logan Musquiz; his niece Lindsey Falconer (Scott); his nephew Garrett Garner (Beth); and his great-nieces, Millie, Penelope and Gemma. He is also survived by his daughter and son and blessed with the grandchildren.

We chose the Lake Jackson Civic Center to allow for social distancing so that everyone will be comfortable attending.
