He was predeceased by: his parents, Fillmore Sanford and Ann Sanford; and his siblings, Mary Sanford Kinney, David and John.
He is survived by: his wife Kathy O'Neill; his siblings, Sarah Conn of Boston, MA and Tom Sanford (Pat) of San Antonio; his sister-in-law Shirley Sanford; his sister Margie Sanford; his nieces and nephews, Rachel, Leah, Laurel, Libbey, Jennifer, Sam and Jack; his close friend David Royal; and also Leigh Ann Fitzpatrick.
