He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie Maurer and Laura Heinemann Maurer. He is survived by: his children, Patrick Maurer of Keithville, Virginia Maurer of Fredericksburg, Barbara (Kent Spenrath), Mary Maurer of Fredericksburg, Victor (Kathy Prochnow) and Werner (Loretta Prochnow). He is also survived by Seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
