He was predeceased by: his father John W. Sobey, Sr.; and his former wife Daniese Sobey. He is survived by: his son John William Sobey, III (Christina) of San Antonio; his mother Alma Hartmann Sobey (Hartmann) of Fredericksburg; his siblings, Cindy Harris (Bob) of Carrollton, TX, Valarie Smith (Ed) of Fredericksburg, TX and Thomas Sobey (Terri) of San Antonio, TX; his stepson Tommy Parker (Jodi) of Burleson, TX; and his grandchildren, Crystal and Tommy Sobey. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
