John Engel Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John Engel of Fredericksburg, Texas, who passed away on March 29, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Benno Engel and Elizabeth Klier Engel of Luckenbach, Texas.; his brother James Engel; his brother-in-law Milton Pohler; his nephew Russell Patton; and his great-niece Kelsey Pohler.
He is survived by: his sisters, Della Mae Pohler of San Antonio, Rose Patton of Mineral Wells and Jo Nell Lamothe (Richard) of Seabrook; his sister-in-law Peggy Engel of Bastrop; and his brother Benno Engel (Jan) of New Braunfels. He is also survived by five nephews, two nieces, and several great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be given in John's memory to Bethany Lutheran Church, The Golden Hub Meals on Wheels, or a charity of their choice.
