She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence William and Mary Elizabeth Foss Rice; her husband Lloyd Smith; and her brothers, Billy Rice, Leonard Rice, Floyd Rice and George Rice.
She is survived by: her stepson Peter Smith; and her sisters, Betty Rae Allen of Deweyville, TX, Alma Dell Hoell of Lumberton, TX and Pat Regan of St. Joseph, MI.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
