It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Hobbs of Fredericksburg, Texas, born in Johnson City, Texas, who passed away on February 18, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvie Monroe and Ima Jesse Sublett Hobbs; and his brothers, Delbert Hobbs and Henry Hobbs. He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Ersch Hobbs; his brother Glen Hobbs (Eileen); his daughters, Sharon Moore, Linda Doyle (Tommy), Donna Cox (Henry) and Stacey Moellering (Doyle); his grandchildren, Melinda Russett (Steve), Christopher Moore (Savannah), Dillion Doyle (Shauna), Dustin Doyle (Celia), Derek Doyle (Caitlin), Bradley Cox, Jason Cox (Mindy), Paul Moellering, Mark Moellering, Seth Moellering (McKenzie) and Luke Moellering; and his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jonathan Russett, Mattie, John Moore, Brandon Sheppard, Clayton, Laramie, Sawyer Doyle, Ollie, Hank, John Doyle, Reagan, Blakely Doyle, Luke, Jake Cox and Matthew Moellering. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be given in his memory to the Miller Creek Cemetery Association, Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, Willow City V.F.D. or to the charity of your choice.
