He was predeceased by: his parents, George G. Wenzel and Althea Schultz Wenzel; his aunts and uncles, Bennie and Nina (Wenzel); his grandmother Emmie Abbott (Wenzel); his wife Carolyn Klein (Walther League); his siblings, Vera Tonn, Aslin, Pearlie Planzer, Florence Schladoer and Fay Wenzel; his siblings-in-law, Janice Wahrmund and W. C. Klein; and his daughter-in-law Lorilea Wenzel.
He is survived by: his sons, Todd Wenzel (Nancy) of Menard, George Wenzel (Dawn) of Sisterdale and Dudley Wenzel of Llano; his grandchildren, Emily Filer (Travis), Dolph Wenzel (Regan), Charles Wenzel, Kate Wenzel, Kendall Wenzel and Kamryn Wenzel; his great grandchildren, Conrad and Ellis Filer; and his brother-in-law Lyndon Wahrmund. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
