She is survived by: her children, Melinda Mandoreno (Kevin) of Fredericksburg, Madelene Courchene (Peter) of Houston and Marcia Vela-Oakes (David) of Houston; her grandchildren, Jacqueline Spayd, Michael Courchene, Tasi Vela and Xander Vela; and her brother Carlos Salazar (Becky).
