The memory of Carol Eckhardt of Fredericksburg, Texas, who passed away on December 2, 2024 at the age of 81, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Rode and Evelyn Leslie Rode; and her sister Sandra Hooker. She is survived by: her close friend Alta; her aunt Esther; her husband Donald E. Eckhardt of Fredericksburg; her daughters, Debbie Eckhardt Cox of Fredericksburg and Dianne Eckhardt of Fredericksburg; her grandchildren, Quentin, Jordan and Evelyn Cox of Fredericksburg; her caregiver Melissa; and also, Esther and Adeline.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Chapel of the Schaetter Funeral Home (301 E San Antonio St, Fredericksburg, TX 78624). The lying in state was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Bethany Lutheran Church (110 W Austin St, Fredericksburg, TX 78624). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
