He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Kager and Elizabeth Lamprecht Kager; his former wife Theresa; his granddaughter Tiffany Welch; his stepson Michael Deyer; and his siblings, Maria, Georg, Hans and Veronica.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Kager; his children, Sigrid Schjonning (Warren) of Monroe, VA and Fred Kager (Linda) of Fredericksburg; his stepson Daron Dyer (Angel) of Elizabethon, TN; and his brother Alfred Kager of Apopka, FL.. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
