He is survived by: his children, Tammy Tierny (Jim) of Pittsburg, Monica Odom (Alvin) of Frankston and Derek Gideon of Chandler; and his grandchildren, Shawn, Angela, Rachael, Levi, Calvin, Duranda, Cheyenne, Alvin III, Hunter and Avah. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
