She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Julian Breedlove and Mattie Breedlove (Wood); her husband Luther H. Ashley; her son John Ashley; her grandchildren, Blaine Ashley (Diana) of Cambridge, VT, Angela Dione (David) of Blocton, AL and Amy; and her friend Rae Roberson of Palestine. She was also cherished by five great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
