He was predeceased by: his parents, Serena Bynum and Frank Burgess; his son Jimmy Youngblood; and his siblings, Frank Burgess, Jr. and Gerri Gates.

He is survived by: his wife Kay Burgess; his children, Christina Burgess, Jennifer Youngblood (Troy) and Dennis Youngblood (Crystal); his grandchildren, Caden, Callie, Willow of Dakota, J. D., Cheyenne, Ashley, Destiny, Nicholas, Leia, Zoe and Dustin; and his sisters, Vicki Schenck, Teresa Franklin, Michelle Burgess and Penny Templin. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
