He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Dabbs and Lillian Dabbs (Champion); his wife Louise Dabbs (Russell); his son Todd R. Dabbs; his siblings-in-law, Chester, Ira Russell (Snyder), Jack Hartman, Chuck Moore and C. B. Thigpen; and his nephew Chad Williford.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Dabbs of Frankston, Jill Burnett (Billy) of Huntington and Jed Dabbs (Kathy Brown) of Denver, CO.; his grandchildren, Amanda Hyden, Jennifer Godfrey-Thurman (Justin Thurman), Ashley Hyden, Todd Hyden (Victoria), Lacey Cummings (Marty) and Trace Barrett (Taylin); his great grandchildren, Brooke Godfrey Thurman (Drew Lemmert), Mason Tarrant, Cody Dickerson, Ethan Godfrey, Alyssa Thurman, Sarah Thurman, Adali Hyden, Tessa Hyden and Myles Hyden; his great great grandchild Gentry Sage Lemmert; his sisters, Sue Moore of Lufkin, Janet Dabbs-Neal of Frankton, Cindy Dabbs-Smith of Brownsboro and Becky Pitner (Jim) of Lindale; and his siblings-in-law, Gladys Thigpen of Lufkin, Verline Hartman of Lufkin, Laverne Wesley (Bill) of Lufkin and Nunley Russell (Anna May) of Lufkin. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
