It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald James Platt of Frankston, Texas, who passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, David J. Platt and Alta Platt (Bonner); his wife Eloise Platt (Floyd); and his siblings, Bill Platt and Alta Mona Porter.
He is survived by: his children, Ann Allen Wegner (Keith) of Irving, Jim Platt (Donna) of Clute, Melanie Stacey (Rick), Diana Caldwell, Pamela Spears (Eric) and Valerie McLaughlin (Andy); his grandchildren, Jeffrey Allen, Michael Allen, Shane Platt, Justin Platt, Jeremy Red, Canaan Red, Christopher Stacey, Riley Gentry, Mikey Caldwell, Dillon Spears, Erica McDonald and Chelsea Simon; and his sister Jean Rickly (Bill) of Columbus, Ohio. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
