He was predeceased by: his parents, Delry Herndon and Allie Herndon (Hippler); and his sister Eloise Herndon. He is survived by: his wife Linda F. Herndon; his sons, Jonathan C. Herndon (Annie) of Plano and David M. Herndon (Krysta) of Lindale; his brothers, Billy Herndon (Nelda) of Longview and Mike Herndon (Pat) of Tulsa, Oklahoma.; his grandchildren, Autumn, Ashley, Elijah, Allyson and Evangelyn; and his great grandchild Rosie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
