It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Watson Shafer of Franklin, Texas, born in Cameron, Texas, who passed away on January 29, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ruby Young Shafer and John Frank Shafer, Jr.; his wife Opal McDaniel Shafer; his children, Frank Shafer of Franklin, Philip Shafer of Franklin, William Shafer of The Woodlands and Deborah Shafer Russell (Jerrod) of Tomball, Texas.; his grandsons, Jonathan Shafer (Izabella) of Houston, Graham and Sean Russell of Tomball; his sister Elaine Baumann (Gene) of Gause, Texas.; and his sisters-in-law, Frances Lee (Ronnie) and Alyne McDaniel. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
