She was predeceased by: her parents, Calvin Petty and Lucile Lomax Petty; her husband Jack Maris; her sister Mary Jo Carleton (Jim Carleton); her nephew Alan Carleton; and her sister-in-law Luiell.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Mike Maris (Micki Maris) and Marsha Maris Herron (Dicky Herron); and her niece Elaine Bounds (John). She is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren.
