He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Franklin Oak Bassett and Alliene Tuggle Bassett; his wife Mary Lou Bassett; and his children, Skip Bassett (Becky), Kathlene Bassett (Khanh), Linda Cannon, Michael Bassett (Anne) and Mary Scott (Mark). He was also cherished by 11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
