He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Persing and Patricia Reitz Persing; and his stepsiblings, William "Bill" Huff, Carol Vath, Rotties, Xander and Daphne.
He is survived by: his wife Terri L. Steiner of Corinth, Texas; his children, Jeremy Persing of Lewisville, Texas and Kristen Vance (Ryan) of Denton, Texas; his granddaughter Zephanie Bias of Denton, Texas; his brother Steve Persing; and his stepsiblings, Robert Huff, Kathy Larson and Sue Reed. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
