He was predeceased by: his parents, Horace Goodson and Amy Goodson of Palestine; his siblings, Clifford Goodson of Mineola, Roy Goodson of Baytown and Ida Lee Parkman of Palestine; his grandson Jackson Maxwell of Bullard; and his son-in-law Jackie Maxwell of Bullard.
He is survived by: his father-in-law W. F. Beall; his significant other Sarah Ellen Beall Goodson; his children, Tom Goodson (Pamela) of Ft. Worth, Ellen Maxwell of Bullard and Kathryn Cunningham (Chuck) of Crockett; his grandchildren, Christie Goodson Chandler (Brett) of Carthage, Scott Goodson of Ft. Worth and Sharon Maxwell Crowley (Bob) of Enterprise; and his siblings, Elvira Goodson McCall of Crockett and Lloyd Goodson of Hemphill. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, two great- great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
