With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Dorothea Allen (Franklin, Texas), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Dorothea left this world on February 17, 2025 at the age of 91, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Delma L. Dodgen and Miriam Cecil Dodgen. She is survived by: her husband Thad Allen; her daughters, Katherine Scasta (Lloyd Scasta) and Lee Ann Scasta Camille (Calvin Scasta); her grandchildren, Matt Scasta, Andy Scasta (Jennifer Ann Scasta) and Katy Scasta Williams (Ryan Williams); her great grandchildren, Tate Williams (Rachel Floyd), Reign Scasta, Tana Williams, Cutter Scasta and Bo Scasta; her sister Susan Parker Whitehead; and her friend Janie Van Dyke. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Franklin Methodist Church (116 W Decherd St, Franklin, TX 77856).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be made to the Wounded Warrior Project (supportwwp.org) or the Thad and Dorothea Allen Memorial Scholarship for Medicine at Franklin Methodist Church (P.O. Box 556 Franklin, Texas 77856).
