He was predeceased by: his daughter Cindy Christensen; and his granddaughter Melissa Gilbert. He is survived by: his wife Mattie Faye Samford; and his daughters, Susan (Alan Barnett) and Karen (Don Sparks). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
