We are sad to announce that on December 10, 2024, at the age of 80, William Rex Akers (Fort Worth, Texas) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William O. Akers and Martha D. Akers (Hamilton); and his brother Randy Lee Akers (Sandra Akers). He is survived by: his wife Brooke Akers (Miller); his children, Jana Taylor (Scott) of Colleyville, Rick Akers (Margaret) of Fort Worth and Amy Akers; and his brother Danny Akers (Jeri) of Lubbock. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many, many other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Tarrant Area Food Bank, a cause close to Rex's heart, so that his spirit of generosity may continue to bless others.
