He was predeceased by: his parents, Hugh Pasco Vest and Juanita Cox Vest; his brother James Pasco Vest; and his in-laws, Mary Jane and William Edward LaRoche.
He is survived by: his wife Susan LaRoche Vest; his children, James Hunter Vest (Caitlin) and Ann Marie Herbst (Jay); his grandchildren, Hayden Herbst, Lucas Vest and Annabelle Vest; his brother Donald Ray Vest (Sharyn); his children, Kacie, Callie and Jon Austin; his sister-in-law Libby Gann Bowles (Bill); his nephew William Houston Gann (Laura); his great-niece Margot; his great-nephew Liam; and his nephew Clayton Stevens Gann.
