He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Roque Puente and Juanita Puente; his significant other Debbie Hernandez of Friona; his children, Joshua Puente of Dallas, TX, Hanna Puente of Dalhart, TX and Leslie Martinez of Fort Worth, TX; his grandchildren, Josheph, Arianna, Brooklyn, Xavier, Erika, Joe Angel, Avriey and Hailey; his children, Robert Halberg and Freddie Little; and his siblings, Joe Puente of Lubbock, TX, Jeremias Puente of Hale Center, TX, Merced Mendoza of El Paso, TX and Lydia Vega of Farwell, TX.. He was also cherished by his parents, four brothers, one sister, a niece.
With the ongoing COVID-19 crisis affecting the country, a memorial service has yet to be scheduled.
