He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Henderson Van Zandt and Dorothy Johr Van Zandt; and his brothers, H. O. and Kent. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Callison Van Zandt; his children, Bret Edwards (Teresa) of Grand Prairie, Tiffanie Smith of Fort Worth and Crystal Medina of Grand Prairie; his cousins, Allen, David, Paul, Ann Van Zandt and Carol Jones; and his sisters-in-law, Petra of Daytona Beach and Linda. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Greenwood Funeral Home (3344 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76107). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Independence Chapel at Greenwood Mausoleum Tuesday (3100 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76107). A burial will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at the Greenwood's Independence Chapel.
