It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Renee Payne (Fort Worth, Texas), born in Kansas City, Missouri, who passed away on January 5, 2018, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Louis Slaughter, Sr.; and her grandparents, Osborn Slaughter, Sally Slaughter, John Q. Williams and Marie Williams.
She is survived by: her children, Deondra, Michael, Jr., Katrina and Antwan; her mother Gladys Marie McCoy of Kansas City; her siblings, Carla Ann Thomas, Louis Slaughter, Jr., Cynthia Elaine Abanishe (Paul), Theresa Pledger (Matt) and Angelia Lillian Slaughter (Donald); her mother-in-law Brenda Marie Payne; her grandchildren, Kiersten Johnson, Zaria Doss, Myles Payne, Reginald Johnson Jr., Apollo Payne, Zion Payne and Zoe McConnell; and also, Gladys Marie Slaughter, Deondra Payne (Reginald) of Prairieville, Katrina McConnell (Charles) of Arlington Texas, Michael Payne, Jr. of Los Angeles and Antwan Payne (LaKeisha) of Mansfield. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
