He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Henry and Eunice McGuire Hemphill; his wife Suzanne Sligh; and his sons, James John (Roberta) of Spring Branch, Don Douglas (Vivian) of Yantis and Gregory Paul (Debbie) of Allen. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
